Oh absolutely, it's been problematic for some time and UEFA and the FA's are no saints at all (we in Ireland certainly have had one of, if not, the worst FA's in Europe so I know all too well the problems they can have), but I guess this the time for them to step up cause they're probably the only ones in a position to realistically stop this travesty right now.
Fucking painful to watch these clubs try and swallow up more money and shut the door behind them whilst clubs like my own here in Cork are one of many struggling to survive (we're currently now on a three game losing streak in the Irish second tier having been Premier division champions and cup winners within the past few seasons). _________________
Wild end to La Liga. Love that Atletico managed to turn it around yet again against Valladolid. Now we need Juventus to miss the CL (and Milan to qualify) and Lille to win the league and I'll be a very happy football fan.
Edit: that's 2/3, I'm a happy football fan. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
Fair play to Lille, they're gonna be picked apart over the summer unfortunately but that was absolutely brilliant to see, also good to see Atletico winning La Liga, pity Napoli bottled overtalking Juve but can't win them all, roll on the Euros and more importantly, Ireland actually beating Andorra in an upcoming friendly and finally winning a game again. _________________
I've been wrong so many times... but this was a doozy, even for me. How could a season that looked so dreadful a year ago, end up so well? Credit to Moyes?
On a different note, any EURO predictions? _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

A rough guess of what I expect having seen the majority of these over the past few years, I'd be fancying France again to win the whole thing, fairly well balanced throughout and probably the strongest squad on paper, I'd probably have England, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Portugal knocking about just behind them, would expect the winner to come from that 6, that group H is brutal (would love if Hungary turned up and won it like Costa Rica beating out England, Italy and Uruguay in 2014 though).
Not convinced that Spain or the Dutch have it in them at the moment.
Possible dark horses? Denmark seem in good form and Turkey maybe deserve a shout given how they're capable of playing at times with a quietly decent squad.
Looking forward to it, first Euros since 2008 that Ireland aren't in so I can sit back and relax without needing to scream at the TV, just hoping for some decent games. _________________
Great stuff Patman Most of them seem spot on although with the amount of countries with venues it may be more difficult this year. Some countries could excel while others may end up embarssing themselves on home soil.
