Well. This was kinda inspired by an_outlaws recent thread.
And it's kinda just about me
It's 9 months into 2012, and I never really felt like I dug deep enough into 2011 I'm really enjoying 2012, but I think it's because I'm listening to a lot of albums from this year.
I'm wondering what 2011 albums I missed, that may lead to me believing it to be a better year (albums no on this list are welcome). These are just from our charts.
Foo Fighter - Wasting Light
Kate Bush - 50 Words For Snow
Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Belong
Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math
Mogwai - Hardcore Will never Die, But You Will
Nicolas Jaar - Space Is Only Noise (i think i'll check this out soon)
Kasabian - Velociraptor
Horrors - Skying
Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds
Florence & The Machine - Ceremonials
Cut Copy - Zonoscope
Frank Turner - England Keep my Bones
Atlas Sound - Parallax
RHCP - I'm With You
Kendrick Lamar - Section 80
Bjork - Biophilia
Mountain Goats - All Eternals Deck
Feist - Metals
War On Drugs - Slave Ambient
Alex Turner - Submarine
Ben Howard - Every Kingdom
Steve Wilson - Grace For Drowning
Fucked Up - David Comes To Life
SBTRKT
Bright Eyes - The People Key
Horrible Crowes - Elsie
Toro Y Moi - Underneath The Pine
Mastodon - The Hunter
Thanks guys.
If none of these are worth listening to, tell me

The only one I've listened to from this list is Biophilia. Not Björk's best, but well worth a listen or two, if you're not allergic to her.

Actually I've also listened to :
Mogwai - Hardcore Will never Die, But You Will
Nicolas Jaar - Space Is Only Noise
I thought that Mogwai was really boring, but Jaar is good.

Only listened to Nicolas Jaar - "Space Is Only Noise"
Can't remember much of it, it was quite weird, not sure if in a good or bad way! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

I'm not allergic to her. Don't worry The main reason I didn't bother with that one was because other albums came out at the same time that interested me more. Kinda flew by.
So far, Jaar & Bjork. Skip Mogwai.

K. Jaar & Bjork for sure. And I didn't know Schoolboy Q released anything prior to this year.

I prefer Setbacks of his two albums. Added 2 others to the above list, Quelle Chris (brilliant lo-fi hip-hop) and Jehst (UK hip-hop) that I'd forgotten about. Both in my BEA chart I think.

That Charles Bradly album also seems interesting...especially for 2011. Is it closer to What's Going On? or Voodoo?
