Okay, I know this is an obvious question, but I've never actually seen it on BEA. If it's been done, someone please point me to it.
Anywho, the question is a simple one. What's your favorite decade in music? For me it goes a little like this:
1990s > 1970s > 2000s > 1960s > 1980s > 2010s > 1950s
There's really no competition for the 90s in my opinion, with the 70s closely following behind, but after that my taste changes pretty regularly. How about you guys, which decade do you enjoy the most?

1990's > 2000's (real close) > 1980's > 1970's (real close) > 1960's > 2010's > 1930's > 1940's > 1880's > 1950's = 1700's and so on.
EDIT: Sorry left out the 10's by mistake.

Based on my hopes and dreams of what I imagine the next seven years of music will feature, I went with 2010s.

None of you will be prepared for the next wave of slowcore: one specific band will be lighting that fire. So yeah 2010s will go down as the greatest ever

went with the 70's, 90's comes close though.
that being said, if i continue to like music for the rest of this decade as much as I do now, it will come out on top. i just think it's a little presumptuous right now. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s

1970's > 1960's > 1990's > 2000's > 1980's > 2010's >>> 1950's > etc.
Another way to put it:
Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin/Queen/The Beach Boys/post-Beatles/ELO/The Doors/David Bowie > The Beatles/The Beach Boys/Led Zeppelin/Simon & Garfunkel/Pink Floyd > Radiohead/Oasis/Manic Street Preachers/Primal Scream/Nirvana/Alice in Chains/U2 > Coldplay/Radiohead/Muse/Kings of Leon/ehh.. that was not many bands > ELO/Queen/Pixies/The Stone Roses/U2/The Cure/Iron Maiden/Metallica > Smaller bands > jazz artists/rock 'n' roll legends > Did music exist before the 1950's?

A little, yes. But album-wise, not much interesting happened before (otherwise, those albums are extremely underrated here). _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal
