I know this is discussed before ... but this is an intresting question .

Today the beatles and pink floyd are known as classic bands . and most of the members here think they are great .

and singers that are mainstream are known as forgettable music ... so ... do you think the beatles and floyd or dylan or zepellin will always be mentioned as classic ?

Will there be a time when justin bieber - My world is a classic album ? Can you even imagine how the mainstream that day would sound ?!?

I don't think people in the 60's could imagine the mainstream music today too ...

Doubtful. The 60s had forgettable pop stars. The Beatles, Zeppelin, and Dylan will probably look like Robert Johnson does today.

I doubt it. Those three, with them being as rated or overrated as they are, will most likely live on for a long time to come. They'll be ancient, like Beethoven or Mozart.

Before 2050 experienced several musical renaissance. There is nothing new in itself. Part of the modern popular music (1900s) finally declared with the classical music. Debussy - Ravel - Gershwin - Ellington - Davis .. is "the same classic" chain. Some of the future of a major musician / composer, is capable of reforming of the above-mentioned composers music, something that is the 2050 style ... then what is it? Think

What are you talking about? That's only about 40 years from now. They won't seem that ancient.

it'd be 80-90 years since they appeared, they'd be to the future what the popular acts of the 20's to 30's are to us.
