Apparently this album was very influential to a lot of top 80s and 90s hard rock acts. I find that interesting. I don't particularly care for it.

My favorite Aerosmith album. These guys aren't the Stones or Zep, but they're still worthy of recognition. Yes, they are run-of-the-mill dadrock, but c'mon guys, don't limit yourselves.

This. Despite being the top selling American band ever, they aren't on par with the greatest of all time. Still, I don't think they get enough love on here. They're not bad.

There's a reason why Rocks appears on as many charts as it does. It's easy to hate Aerosmith for sucking in the 10's, stinking up the 00's and the 90's, and being out of their minds in the 80's. But don't forget that they got to be those bad things for good reason. Aerosmith in the early to mid 70's was something really great to experience, and Rocks can easily be considered one of the best American hard rock albums of all time.

If you don't believe me, check it again. They hit big on their third album, Toys In The Attic...Rocks is even better, but without the hits. There's not a weak track here, and everything that Aerosmith was ever capable of doing right happened right here. This album is considered to be a big influence by bands that came afterward for good reason...this is a great album, and it's forever underrated. Nobody in America was rocking this hard, or this good, in 1976. Nobody. And few have matched it since. Aerosmith was on top, and they were the best...if only for a two year period...they were the best. Heroin took over shortly afterward...but Rocks is simply great.

Rocks deserves another listen. This is a great album by a band that was, for this moment, great. Again...one of the best American hard rock albums ever made. My opinion...but I'm sticking to it!
