- Post subject: Best album purchase of the week
|
Not sure how useful this thread will be, but meh, it won't hurt anyone
Just bought Rain Dogs and Straight outta compton, only my second rap album I've purchased, right after Enter the wu - tang (36 chambers) which I bought about 1 month or so ago.
EDIT: Really it doesn't have to be this week, but recently I guess, if you want to expand upon your favorite in your collection than thats all good, long as it has something to do with purchases, but if this goes off topic, then I'm not picky, long as there isn't too much hostility.

I seriously spend way too much money on cds. I usually get them used on amazon, but I still get maybe 3 or 4 a week averaging maybe 7 bucks a pop...adds up. Most people don't even bother anymore, but I just need to have the physical copy. Soon the bookshelf that I use for cds will be filled and I'll need to purchase a bigger one, preferably one that is actually made for cds, if they still exist.

Me too. I've been buying a lot CD's on Amazon over the last few months I'm trying to cut down a bit now though. _________________ "Drink beer, smoke pot, and create something that will storm heaven. That's all I ever really cared about." - Ron House

Yeap, definitely. It's not that I have a drive to have a physical copy, I just have bad luck with online technology, luckily I have a local F.Y.E so purchasing CD's is just a 5 minute drive. If they don't have it, I special order if I really need it, it's a 3 week wait at most, but worth the wait. I spend maybe 10 - 40 dollars a visit.

My thing is scrounging through the epic piles of used CD's at Amoeba. Got 5 Bjork albums for 2 bucks apiece.

Yeah I have a local F.Y.E. too, but I find that typically they don't have the music I'm looking for anymore. Plus they are super expensive now compared to prices on amazon, even new most of the time. I usually find that my amazon orders get here within a week too which is great.

Fair enough. I like FYE mainly because they typically carry music I love and I'm not a big fan of amazon. I screwed up a few times ordering unfortunately so I've learned my lesson that amazon is just not for me
