Would it be possible to have a "watch user" feature? So if I'm watching X, whenever he posts a comment, rating or update in his chart it notifies me? Mostly for the chart updates. I'm not gonna stalk, I swear
Also, would it be possible to get data considering only watched users? So if I have 30 watched users, I could check both an album's rating by the whole site, and my "watched rating" which would only consider the users I watch. That would make it way easier to find new albums: you'd watch a bunch of users you have similar tastes to, and go to the overall chart and look for the highest watch-rated album there.

Second part is a good idea, but if you were to be notified for every rating, change in chart, comment and post then that will make a sea of information which you'll be lost in it.

True, maybe only chart changes?

This is something on the 'to do' list where you can subscribe to a chart and a get a notification when the chart is changed. A related idea is an activity stream for each member where you can view all of their recent activity in a single page (recent comments, ratings, chart updates etc). This is also something on the roadmap for 2013.

Wouldn't that be kind of like stalking? I wouldn't exactly want users to be watching every move I make. I like the idea for watching charts, but not everything else. I'm not a movie for the world to see.
On a side note, that function would've helped kidamnesiac a lot with his quest to destroy Naples. I just don't see how this could be a... comfortable add-on, you know?

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Would you like it if I was watching YOU constantly?

people can already see this information by viewing your ratings, comments etc on separate pages across the site. This will just create another way of viewing the same information, but displayed on a single page as an activity stream.
