probably The John Lennon Collection, it was an album I heard in my childhood that made me fall in love with music.

I would have to say unequivocally, The Who's Quadrophenia. I listened to it a lot during late adolescence (17-19). So many of the songs deal with the emotions, issues, and confusion of late adolescence and early adulthood. It's sort of a musical Catcher in the Rye, in that sense. The album gave me a philosophy, a set of ethos, and a sense of identity at a time when I most needed it. Quadrophenia was there When the trials and tribulations of high school, living in a broken home/ step family, and the endless indignities that came with those early "dirty jobs"got me down. There's so much in that album and so much that one can get out of it. Also, it was one of the albums that got me through high school. Here's to Quadrophenia!

I would say most everything that John Lennon ever wrote. But that is not an album.

I'm most thankful for I ROBOT (1977) by the Alan Parsons Project. First of all it came out, and I first heard it, when I was 12, no need to explain that one I guess. I Robot has it all for me. From it's very emotional lyrics and vocals to great instrumentals. If I'm sad, it meets me where I'm at and lifts me up. This is a very unique album for many reasons. An album that reaches into my body and takes my soul out and up into space on a beautiful journey. If you think this is crazy sounding it is. But it's also true. Give it a listen from beginning to end and you may just feel the same way.
