Spotify for artists comes with DistroKid if you go that route. They have the business model that everyone should have had all along: One (small) fee yearly, upload as many things as you want, you keep any revenue.

so i'm preparing a bunch of music for a couple of projects, and i was getting pretty pent up, so i made this stream of conscious thing as a distraction for a bit (link: https://soundcloud.com/creighola/my-closet-castles).

this is not an official release or anything. just a thing. you know .. it's pretty unrefined, but it's kind of pleasant at times. lots of birdsong. a fair bit of mumbling to myself. recorded it in a very nice studio .. my closet. it's a walk-in, which is really nice, though it gets dingy at times, and the air's a bit on the musty side. of course, it keeps good company.

Unsleep by Hayden Who

Starting 2019 off with a surprise EP (surprise to me, for I only decided on making it the middle of last night). I've been working on a project scheduled for release February (more along the lines of Idiot), but this one seemed to roll off the tongue so to speak. The project's sound is something I've wanted to try for some time but simply never have. It's less dense or dark than I usually work, aiming for an ambient-electronic vibe.

It's a 21-minute single track EP titled Unsleep, and it'll be out tomorrow. Hoping those who give it a chance like it Smile

EDIT: Aaaand it's out (finished the mastering and gave it a quick release).

i've been toying with doing this for years (rec'd 2010.03.01-2012.07.31). why tonight? i had a couple drinks and got a nice message from a fellow bea-er.

i wanted to create a deep sea exploration and drown a little, so this avant-garde-ish, seapunky thing happened. i recruited sasha dolage of hyperchromatic for vocals, and she did a splendid job.

this was s'posed to go up on spotify and all the other online streamers/webstores today, but i apparently didn't finish my legal docs, so it's bandcamp only ATM, but it should be elsewhere soon.
