Last year I lost all of my original files. However, I found a folder on a hard drive that was not gone. It has resurfaced.

Oh for sure. Never put all your eggs in one basket... best practice is to have irreplaceable data in multiple places, one of them being the cloud (but also check EULA's cause some cloud services be the devil). And for the love of puppies don't put stuff like your social/cc info in google drive or something. Totally agree with that.

erm - and for the record, it's magic water. that's why it appears to evaporate after them splash. or maybe it's magically absorbent sand. irrelevant. if i get around to spending more time on this, it'll get itself fixed.
