Glad you enjoyed Geranium I must admit, I wish the album was more seamless, but I just couldn't figure out the tracklisting order until literally the morning it was released. I'm happy you thought the 'finale' worked. I kept flipflopping the order of about 6 tracks. (I'll admit Xeon was renamed after SOPHIE passed, but it was directly inspired, likewise with Doom for DOOM).
(the main texture throughout the project was made with a rubber band, but there's also some boiling water in the mix Laughing)

Ayy fascinating stuff. Yeah I always find sequencing either just a) falls into place very easily or b) just never makes sense and you're never quite happy until the benefit of hindsight has kicked in. Regardless of how you feel, in the end, I do think it's well sequenced! And that's fascinating re textures. What are your favorite tools for sound manipulation?

The great instrumental "Crystal Japan" by David Bowie and the other one "A Warm Place" which Nine Inch Nalis' soloist, Trent Reznor, famously made accidentally similar to "Crystal Japan", are mashed by me into a beautiful sounding, in my opinion, mashup! using the mashup mixing website Rave.dj! (https://rave.dj/).

Check out my rave.dj account for more mashups if you are curious: https://rave.dj/u/HaIsh

I hope you enjoy it! Very Happy

A mashup of Yurameki in the Air by Fishmans & Soon by My Bloody Valentine made by me using mashup mixing website Rave.dj (link: https://rave.dj/).

I also have a mashup with the live version of instead of the studio one:

Part 1: https://rave.dj/-p3jnFtDeF7iGQ

Part 2: https://rave.dj/qOiYxXJm7P0YNw (It is one semitone up so it may sound strange...)

Enjoy listening! Very Happy

I have a 6-part composition coming out next week (May 7th) called The Birdnest. A slight experimental departure from my normal work. More minimalism/ambient/neoclassical. The sole instrument is a glass bottle. I started it a few months back, but only truly decided on finishing it after seeing the success of Promises (Floating Points, Sanders, LSO).

Need to finalize the mixing, but otherwise it's done. Should have the Bandcamp page up sometime soon. It'll be free stream, free download, blah blah blah, etc., posted in its individual six parts as well as a complete seamless track.

first original i've released in a while. created this today. fresh off the press. pushed the lofi further than i meant, but i'm pretty happy with it anyway.

----- listen on the soundcloud -----

please don't go. you're the only thought that's still on my mind. i'm ready to make this place my home. won't you lie beside my fading side? cause in this moment, i feel so alone. we could crawl out on the roof in the twilight. how i long to see the city lights... let's go out and paint the town tonight.

i'll be fine if you'll be the one who holds me when i hit the ground. cause it's time to hold my head up, face my fears, and make you proud. and it's time to give up on the feeling that i let you down. when it's time, i love you. it's alright.

i don't know if i'm seeing stars, but you've got a halo. you should know that you've given me the moon on a flagpole.

i'll be fine if you'll be the one who holds me when i hit the ground. cause it's time to hold my head up, face my fears, and make you proud. and it's tiiiiiii-ime: the shadows and the chandeliers. the shards of glass... it's crystal clear: it's time. i love you. it's alright.

----- free download via bandcamp -----

Hope you like it. It's something I've wanted to try making for a few years now and just couldn't quite wrap my head around how to do it.

Giving it a stream right now. Liking the cover too. Looks like a 7" you'd spot at some independent record shop. Hoping it blooms into an album at somepoint or another. (Are the overtones a steel guitar?).
