I made an account on RYM this past month, mostly just to talk at another wall about improvised music.
Similarly, though I don't really enjoy putting numbers or even words to music, I recently began reviewing for freejazzblog.org to try to spread awareness (through perceived authority lol) and promote discussion of some of my improvised favorites from the current year. You can read my first two reviews here and here; I intend to submit a couple a month. Next one will be on three Astral Spirits releases.
Been listening to a lot of Banks' "212," Skullsplitter, Divers, old time music, Ovalcommers, Anthology Of American Folk Music, and Aerial M when not listening to improvised stuff. Favorites.

Oh yeah that's awesome! I've liked what I've seen on that site, and this looks like some good writeups too, looking forward to reading more

Thanks, you two! I promise I won't post all of them, but I'm pretty proud of the one that got published today on three solos from Astral Spirits.
And Tap, one of the ones I'm writing right now is Clayton Thomas/Burkhard Beins' Rhythm Complication, which I think might be right up your alley (it's mostly more people from the Splitter Orchester).

Does anybody else ever question if mass society hates more music than they enjoy.

Sometimes I do, it's easier to hate than finding things to identify our soul with and love, so yeah it sucks
On an unrelated note, moonchild is fantastic, it flows really nice and feels like a transition to the court of the crimson king _________________ Top 100 Hits you must hear before the u... of beauty

Ever think about the cosmic injustice that Joanna Newsom has sold fewer records than her husband? _________________ Add me on RYM

Like cuz they are too harsh on criticizing it or because they minimize it's value or they like crap music... this really could be interpreted 50 ways, care to elaborate?

Not really, I wanted it to be somewhat broad. It was more of a blanket question (including all the things you mentioned). Seems like there's a lot.
