I guess nostalgia for the Skrillex-lite dubstep coppers is strong these days?

i started an ambient aquatic sort of playlist that i'm trying to bump up to 100 artists/tracks (stuff in the veins of jurgen muller, balam acab, panabrite, etc.). recommendations appreciated.

thank you for this. this is pretty in-line with what i'm looking for, but i don't think i'll add it to my playlist due to length. surfed cryo chamber's other albums, and it looks like all of the tracks are mammoths.

...

Meh? Shocked how pop-centric it is.

And way too early. These sort of things really shouldn't be out for another 5-6 months.

EDIT: Even for P4k, the omissions are insane... went through it a few more times, and it's a kinda poor view on the decade. No Janelle Monae? Death Grips? Nick Cave, Run The Jewels, Arca, Darkside, Sufjan Stevens, Julia Holter, Earl, Sun Kil Moon, Alvvays, MadGibbs, Jlin, FlyLo, Car Seat Headrest, Andy Stott, Gorillaz, Swans, Nicolas Jaar, Big Boi, Pusha T, Mount Eerie, Weyes Blood, Deafheaven, War on Drugs, Gambino, Grouper, Noname, Father John Misty, Savages... like, those are the artists of the decade. Even with limited room, it feels bizarre to leave any of them off.

And it's not like there wasn't room... Beyonce, Drake, Frank Ocean, Kanye, and Rihanna have 4 songs apiece, Nicki Minaj, Robyn, and Future with 3. I get most of them have some tracks worth making the cut, but the lack of diversity makes it a little uninteresting. Plus, some of the hip-hop, pop and latin-pop selections are really shoddy. Wrecking Ball, All Too Well, and Sorry really aren't... well, good. First time listening to Davido's Fall today, and I figure it'll be my last. Don't get Gyptian's Hold Yuh at all.

Oh well. There's definitely some good songs on the list, undoubtedly, but I don't think I'm going to be making this into a playlist.
