every time I adjust a chart I ask myself "how is this fairly obscure album I randomly stumbled upon already on BEA" and every time the answer is Hayden lmao

Ah, yes— I dug that one up from the roots beneath the vampire pumpkins amid a full moon in a jungle with a sole entrance and exit through a dutyfree shop which only lets you pass the perfume section if you can name six of the members of the band jamming in the exclusive speakeasy beneath, who only play instruments of their own concoction and sing lyrics in an extinct language many historians have only ever heard in fever dreams
Think you know where I found that one
Glad you like it. Like most traditional south-east Asian music, I imagine seeing/hearing it live would be a much more otherworldly/immersive experience than through headphones. Think I liked the final track the most.
Joni’s ‘70s run is basically untouchable, give or take Mingus. (Also, ‘Mingus’ is pronounced ‘Mangoo’, like ‘Camus’, because jazz.) _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
So listening to Pearl Jam's 'Alive' and 'Jeremy' for the first time in years... they don't seem good at all. Will I feel the same disappointment if I listened to Ten again? Like... the same impact?
I remember they have a surprise great song later on called 'I Am Mine'. How will find this this I wonder? Now... as in living now.
I mean come on if I had been without listening to any single on Nevermind for weeks/months and one came on the radio I would put it on to the end... even 'In Bloom'. Right now. _________________ More needs and less greed
Yesterday is not you, it is a resource to be looked back on.

Ten is a much better album IMO. I heard there is a release of it without the excessive vocal effects, and it’s supposed to be fantastic. If anyone knows which release that is I’d like to know..

Joni’s 70’s run can rival anyone’s. A while back I kinda did some nerdy analysis on the music of the 70’s I love the most and to me, Pink Floyd and David Bowie are really her only competition based off of the amount of quality material and number of genuinely classic albums. Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Stevie Wonder are on the fringes among a few others (again, based off of my own listening). But yeah, 70’s Joni was monstrous. Not to mention the two really solid 60’s albums she was coming off of. An all-timer as far as songwriters go.
For what it’s worth I like Mingus although it’s not in the realm of a Blue, Summer Lawns, or Court and Spark. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
