Yo anyone here listen to the post-Fergie Black Eyed Peas? They're up to 6 singles without her and while one of them is like the worst song ever ("Awesome" from the 2015 NBA promos) and one is just them rapping over beats where others already did it better ("Back to Yesterday"), the three new tracks have actually been suddenly really good. "Get It" is musically kinda fine but with a really good video, but the other three are genuinely getting some plays from me.

"Ring The Alarm" and "The Constant" are actually really good songs just as songs and have some really powerful lines, and "Street Livin" has this cool beat that goes back and forth between a very chill trumpet sample and some hype bassy kinds of things but the lyrics are so far above anything I'd expect will.i.am et al. to be putting out there.

I posted about street livin' being their best single in a decade, I really wish they could follow this direction more in this non-fergie world.

Dunno about this one... definitely picking up a few recs in the 150-200 range, but the order seems really... off. Looks like something RS or NME would whip up.

There's also just some reeeaaallly glaring omissions, especially when it's an expanded list. No Swordfishtrombones in particular is ridiculous, but surely these deserved a spot:

Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit Rotting Vegetables (?????)
The Gun Club - Fire Of Love (?????)
Smiths - The Smiths
The Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight
Tuxedomoon - Half-Mute
Sister Nancy - One, Two
Spacemen 3 - The Perfect Prescription
X - Wild Gift
Mission of Burma - Vs.
Coil - Horse Rotorvator
Josef K - The Only Fun In Town
The House of Love - The House of Love
Beat Happening - Jamboree
Dream Syndicate - The Days of Wine And Roses
Orange Juice - You Can't Hide Your Love Forever
Marine Girls - Beach Party
SOMETHING by either Field Mice, The Chameleons, Mekons, Dead Can Dance, Swans, The Pastels, Television Personalities, The Go-Betweens, The Sound or The Wedding Present...

World Of Echo in the top 20 is dope though. And there's some pretty cool picks in the 100-150 range.

Dunno though, think I dig their previous list a bit more. But whatever, not my list.

EDIT: Am I missing Hex Enduction Hour??? Surely it's on there...

Thanks for sharing Hayden!!

Seems a pretty bold list and yeah some truly controversial ommisions!

I didn't see Hex either. Need to check again for Remain in light as I totally missed that one Shocked

Did not expect to see so much Janet Jackson and Madonna. Interesting choices at least...

Laughing Though I think the NME would put every Smiths album in the top 10, making even Smiths fans roll their eyes.

That track is dope. But I enjoy Ring The Alarm as well as Constant as well. Get it was ok.

This Nation's Saving Grace is The Fall album they chose. It's good, but it's not Grotesque or Hex.

I feel like they overextend themselves with 200 albums. I think they have a good idea of 100 or so albums, and then they put a bunch of indie classics and random "world" albums on a dartboard.

Yeah, Hex's missing Neutral

And Remain In Light is at #5, no worries. Once I passed Daydream Nation I actually thought they might nudge it up to #1.
