So the new Lorde track is... a thing. I guess some say the lackadaisical feel fits the vibe, but this just feels... lacking? Even more so lyrically than musically. Still doesn't mean I have any idea what to expect going forward.

Yeah, I didn't care much for it. First spin felt bizarrely empty so I gave it a few more (and... I think it got... better?), but it's just not a very interesting song. Holding out for the rest of the album.

The album will hopefully be better than it because the song, although not terrible, was just average compared to their other work.

That Eilish situation is fucked up beyond reason. I mean who geniunely wants to be a celebirity in the age of twitter, without exhaggerating it's like a survelience state and relationship police.

The new Manic Street Preachers single is the worst they have ever released. It is like a committee made up of Tories with silver spoons in their noses attempting to write Manic Street Preachers song.

And you know what...?

They won!

I wasn't stunned by Lorde's single like I was with "Green Light", but it's solid. I love that they were concerned about the similarities to "Loaded" by Primal Scream and went so far as to have Bobby Gillespie clear Lorde's song... as if "Loaded" wasn't a rip-off of "Hey Jude" itself.
