I'm here because I need someone to help me out

I've gone through American Alternative in my early teens (don't Judge me except last obviously): Linkin Park, Green Day, and Nirvana

To Industrial and Classic Rock in my Middle Teens: Linkin Park to Nine Inch Nails to David Bowie; Green Day to The Who; Nirvana to The Beatles)

Now I've broadened Classic Rock as much as possible because it was by far the most accessible The Who to blues based The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix AC/DC and Beatles to non Blues Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Bob Dylan (debatable), Zombies, and Byrds

And now I don't know where to go or who to listen to. Sorry for sounding like a conformist who doesn't think for himself, but I kinda am so that's what comes out Razz

So if anyone can help me out, it would mean the world to me

1st with real blues music, I've listened to Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and John Lee Hooker
I know of these because of all the classic rock bands covered these but I am clearly missing out on the real ones, I am interested in Blues but I don't know where to start, or end...

2nd is with Electronic which pretty much starts with David Bowie and NIN and ends with Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem who else is worthy from the modern era?

3rd is World Music: Bob Marley, Buena Vista Social Club, and Manu Chao is all I know in this respect, I am kinda sick of listening to white boys, Blues broadened my taste of truly "soulful" music (don't kill me for thinking Led Zeppelin has less soul than Willie Dixon, because that's the truth regardless of the tallent of the latter) now I want international "soulful" music.

So I would like to thank whoever was able to read this, and for whoever actually helps me will be a saint to me, now I'm going to ridicule my old music tastes with a poll!

If you're looking for world music, check out Zombie by Fela Kuti (Nigerian). It's a short album, and it's on Youtube (or was when I listened to it). It's protest music against the Nigerian government, so it spread around the world pretty quickly when it was released in '77. If you've been actively seeking out world music, you may have already found it. It's a nice listen though.

I'd also recommend When You Come Back by Vusi Mahlasela (South African). The English songs are a little shallower than Fela Kuti's songs, but there's still some great songs there.

Welcome!

Welcome to BEA! Have you tried Fleetwood Mac for classic rock? What about Neil Young for blues and folk? Also go for The Moody Blues.

Electronic: Avalanches. I don't personally like electronic, but The Avalanches get great reviews. And be sure to try Depeche Mode. They have a body of work that spans from the 80's to now, so that should keep you busy.

For world music, I can only really suggest Italian artist Andrea Bocelli (one of the objectively greatest voices in classical and world music, probably the world) and the Irish music group Celtic Woman.

Blues: Born Under a bad sign, Live at the regal, Hoodoo man blues, Father of Folk Blues, Nina Simone Sings the Blues, Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers, Today! (by Skip James), and The Progressive Blues Experiment are a few blues albums I like

Electronic: Other users can help you better than I can in this area.

World music: Tango: Zero Hour (by Astor Piazzolla), Planxty self titled, Music of India: Three Classical Rāgas, Shahen-Shah (by nusrat fateh ali khan), Heart of The Congos, and Exuma self titled are a few I can think of.

EDIT: All of these are album titles, if I felt you needed to know the artist because the titled aren't distinct enough, then I put the name in parenthesis. If it's self titled, I just said (insert name here) self titled
