I'm down for a week with the flu, and I've been planning to spend my days listening to music while recovering gently in bed...
But the fever has its own ways, and I can't find anything that doesn't enhance the migraine actually.
What soothing, healing sound would you recommend to someone sick and desperate for a little contact with the outside world, i.e. music ? (quarantine is such a bore).

I gotta go with either "Moondance" by Van Morrison or "Before And After Science" by Brian Eno. And if you want to "take advantage" of this flu..."In Search of Space" by Hawkwind. Razz

to get rid of the flu, eat a clove of raw garlic. prepare in the following way:

1. crush or dice the garlic
2. leave for 20 mins
3. eat it

do that and it should be fixed within 24 hours, migraines and all. you can eat several if you want..

Oh lord, are there now going to follow a host of old wives tales regarding elixirs and remedies?

Lick a horse's testicles, shave your person in entirety, then cover yourself in tuna and pop your chap through the neighbour's letterbox while chanting "The moon landings were a fake, the moon landings were a fake!"

as Mezzanine by Massive Attack is a universally recognized like a cure-all (hihi) , i think that it works with a flu too ! a down tempo recording, perfect for your case.

P.S: Mezzanine shoudn't be taken in these cases:
* if you're pregnant...euhhh.
* if you're already listening to Portishead's.
* if you don't like Mandalay.
* if you can't stop listening to "angel" each time you're playing the CD

if you wanna sit around with the flu drinking codeine and listening to shoegaze, that's cool. but crushed raw garlic will kill it dead, fact.

it will also cure/reverse to a large extent: toothache, headache, heart disease, atherosclerosis, impotence, acne, arthritis and many more. pretty much anything with a fungal/bacterial/circulatory/inflammatory cause.

i've been on it every night for ages. never get even the mildest headache. haven't had a sniffle of a cold in years and i'm the kind of guy that wears shorts all year round..

thanks for the heads up re: horse testicles though. it just so happens my mate owns a stable..

I know garlic is good, but I was told but my nature doctor that to actually cure a good ol' fashioned flu, you'd need to eat tons of the stuff.
