Hmmmm, just gazed at my chart, and wondered, what about Fleetwood Mac? at the time of Rumours they were 3 English 2 American, although from a creative point of view this album is mainly American driven.

And More over, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, although Jimi was American the rest of the band was English, and only gained success through being in England, so how do I classify these two bands?

Whereas some bands are particular to a country or region's sound- Seattle bands, Britpop, New York or London Punk etc. Others may defy placement through mixed nationality or influence or sound, even if you knew the nationality of every band member in every band?

i would say (according to the web references, wikipedia, discogs) FM as JHE are more UK bands. if you can't decide you can put UK/US band.

Oddly enough, despite the heaviest concentration of artists in my top 50 is American, the concentration of the English artists is heaviest in the top 20 and top 10.

I didn't know albums had nationalities. Silly me I thought it was the musicians on an album or the bands original location that determined nationality. So an album recorded in the USA by a UK artist would be what nationality?
