Note: will leave 12-24 hour "digestion period" before each polls open, to give participants a chance to catch up on albums they may have missed and for captains to promote their albums

This own is very easy for me. American Idiot feels like a pop-punk band trying to be a grand arena rock band, and tried to make something way over their heads. Modest Mouse, on the other hand, took what they already had, a great lyricist, 3 amazing muscicians, and created something amazing. They increased their lineup, in order to produce a greater sound, and strayed farther away from the guitar based indie rock of their previous works. Issac's lyrics became about finding your place in this giant universe, and struggling with the concept of god. A truly amazing record although I still like Lonesome Crowded West better
I also love the pictures of the bands here, Green Day just looks like they accidentally stumbled in here, while Modest Mouse is just staring them down (Although Jonny Marr is in that picture, who didn't join the band until 6 years after this record was released)
