It's been two years in the making but I finally finished the latest update to my overall chart. Thanks to everyone who left positive comments on the last one, they were my main motivation for finally getting around to this update.

My overall chart is currently at a one per artist limit. it s not really fair to the be a over all chart as it is not really my top 100. i am thinking of modifying my list. it would only eliminate the bottom 20-25 albums. Any input from what you guys think?

I think another rule someone made was a max of 3 albums per artist.
For me it was something to the tune of a 90/100 rating for 1 album per artist, so I was ok with that.
I do have "issue" with having an album at 90/100 in my chart when I know I have a 95/100 that's not making it because of the rule... but then if my chart was dominated by a few artists, that's a bit biased.
I suppose you have to balance:
1) bias (which exists already)
2) letting other artists in
3) what cutoff point is acceptable for you - max number from same artist - how do the ratings line up, etc?
Anyway, good luck. I'm not sure how to solve this problem myself, so I did two lists:
Top Rated albums 1-400 (likely top 100 could be my overall chart, but currently isn't):
Top Rated Albums 1-100 by sethmadsen
Or my current overall: Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by sethmadsen
I like both... dunno. Stuck there for now but have though of implementing a mixture of the two...

Got a big project or a big exam coming up? Like studying to music, but dislike very lyrically driven music? Check out my favorite albums to study to chart I made while taking a study break here.
I have listened to many albums before while studying, not just 82, but these are the albums I repeatedly return to. I'd say I've listen to each of these albums at least 2-3 times. _________________ ...and for dessert!
