I'm glad you're a Stormwarrior fan, too. I think they're phenomenal.

Heading Northe was a great power metal record with some stellar almost speed metal-like riffwork.

It sucks that they're obscure, though. I had to add most of their albums here myself, includig their incredible live album At Foreign Shores.

I really do feel like Heading Northe was their best album and they haven't been able to match it on a studio record since.

Looks like there's only one Ilium album on BEA right now, so I might get through all of their albums just to add them on the site. They aren't great albums, so I don't see any reason to put them on a chart other than a ranked list. I want to do power metal charts based on countries, too, but Australia (Ilium's country) doesn't have a lot of power metal. I still haven't chacked out Lord, Dungeon or Black Majesty.

Black Majesty have one hell of a frontman. He's like Aussie's Dio.

Other great aussie power metal include: Bane of Winterstorm and Pegazus. It's a shame that the scene there is so small, but once you leave Europe the only country that seems to like power metal as much as them is Japan, to be honest.

I'm paring down the size of my "Genre Sampler" charts to 10 essential listens. I'll have this one done with some notes by sometime tomorrow.
