Amazing; on a par with Nebraska, right at the top of the list of Bruce albums. Gonna listen to it now in fact, this seems as good an excuse as any.

I'll third that motion!
Will relisten to it later.

It's a rough, raw rock album. Interesting to hear and feel the contrast between the rugged dirty rock feel of "Darkness..." And the big orchestrated wall of sound of "Born to Run"

Looking forward to listening again tonight.

Pretty much agree with all the above comments, one of my top 3 Springsteen albums (Along with Nebraska and The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle).

Bruce's guitar album. This is absolutely great stuff. Best 2-3-4 sequence of any album I can think of. "Streets Of Fire" is amazing as well...and the title track. Amazing album.

Excellent album. Pleasantly heavy too. I've always been amused by how much the vocals on "Adam Raised a Cain" sound like Gene Simmons.

I remember that unfortunately his album covers always put me off buying his records in my teenage years (curiously his albums could be found all over the music center of Istanbul, Galip Dede street) but once I saw Philadelphia and while I fell in love with Neil Young's voice and song in that movie, it also arouse my interest in Bruce Springsteen's music.

Wow, I think I need to relisten to this, considering the overwhelming positive response it's getting. I've only heard it once, and I wasn't crazy about it, but admittedly I did so with a shitty pair of headphones while I was somewhat distracted with something else, so it probably deserves a more focused listen.
