Ah, ready for a good ol'-fashioned pointless fight? OK.
Best Pink Floyd album by very very far. Their only very good record, actually.

Gets better with each listen. Personally not favorite era of Pink Floyd, but I don't even think you can really compare Syd era with post-Syd era. _________________

For some reason, this has slowly grown to become my favorite of theirs. That said, it's closely followed by A Saucerful Of Secrets, Meddle, TDSOTM and Wish You Were Here (in no particular order). Pink Floyd was really an amazing band.

My favourite Pink FLoyd as well (Ummagumma comes close though).
Its just got so much cool stuff: the eccentric fairytale songwriting, the psychedelic jams, the weird studio effects, neat guitar playing, neat keyboards.....

Pretty great. Gotta love Interstellar Overdrive, especially that stereo panning (that the right term) effect at the end.
I wonder what it'd be like if Arnold Layne and See Emily Play were included.

This used to be one of my favorite albums in eighth grade. Syd Barrett was my idol, and I even considered Sgt. Pepper to be a "crappy ripoff of Piper".
Then I grew up.

I like the polished, overblown Pink Floyd much better, but this is still great stuff. Especially its childish nature contrasting the "sinful" psychedelic scene is appealing. _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

Syd Barret seemed like a crazy guy, but boy, was he creative. Really gave the band their own identity during their début. I prefer the progressive era with David Gilmour, but this era comes really close. Can't wait to see Pink Floyd on Spotify. _________________

I'm really not a fan of this album, but it is unique, and "Astronomy Domine" is a pretty nice song. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
