Art likes making lists, too. We should get him to join this site.

An uneducated opinion. Garfunkel didn't write the songs, but his voice was what made a number of those songs successful. Case in point the aforementioned Bridge Under Troubled Water.
It's not like he's the first singer to benefit from the writing and compositional talents of someone else. _________________ <(: @ >

we should play a game where I try to guess Naples' top 60. I'm sure I could get about 90% of it right.

Maybe Mr Garfunkel already dwells among us! anonymous, staring from the shadows with only the glowing ember of a lit cigarette delineating those unmistakeable features... across the vast emptiness of cyperspace, a mind vastly superior to own draws it's plans against us!
Duh duh dUUUHHHHhh.

Sorry telefunker your imagination is wrong. I would include only the following Garfunkel choices in my top 60:
Aretha Franklin -Respect
Bob Dylan -Like a Rolling Stone
Chuck Berry -Johnny B. Goode
Ike & Tina Turner -River Deep, Mountain High
Little Richard -Tutti-Fruitti
Marvin Gaye -What's Goin' On
Ray Charles -What'd I Say
The Beach Boys -Good Vibrations
The Doors -Light My Fire
The Police -Every Breath You Take
The Righteous Brothers -You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
The Rolling Stones -Satisfaction

Go ahead play your game. I'm sure you could not get 90% of it right. Remember, you only think you know everything! _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

I agree, while I like Paul Simon's songs, his perfomance style is too cold, too off-putting, he needed a voice that would make Simon and Garfunkel accessible...I love Simon's solo work but I always felt like I was interrupting him if I was listening to the albums. Sorry Paul, I love you..with the exception of "Graceland", Simon's solos albums never sold..."Angel Clare" and "Breakaway" always sold much better as a catalogue album (non new release) than Simon's solo albums. Of course sales don't make them better albums just more accessible. ("Rhymin' Simo" sold when new, but never sold as a catalogue album despite airplay)
