Strange I haven't even put this LP in my '91 chart. Will listen to it again tomorrow to see how it fits, it should bethere.
Anyway, "Movin' On Up", "Don't Fight It, Feel It", "Higher Than The Sun", "Come Together", and on top of it all "Loaded"... it's very good. We were so crazy about this record in '91!

Me neither. I remember all of the media fuss from UK journalists during the time of this albums release. However, underneath all of the hype there is very little of substance. This album is, in my view, one of the most overrated of all-time. Having seen their dull performance at the Glastonbury festival the other day, my opinion remains unchanged. They are one of the most lifeless and musically derivative bands of the last 20 years.
I love it, actually. I think Bobby Gillespie's an absolute douchebag, and there's very little else by Primal Scream that interests me at all, but this album is just so great. I know it's cliched, but at times it's just really euphoric. And the singles are huge.
I listened to this album in the couple of weeks a lot, and first it didn't like it that much as a whole, except for a couple of songs. Then the more I listened to it the better it became with every listen. It's a bit different from the albums I like from the early 1990s, house mixed with gospel is usually not my type of music. But this record flows so well together. I haven't read reviews on it but my first thought was also that it is so euphoric, it just makes me feel good.
I like the 13th Floor Elevators cover, Slip inside this house a lot. The two favourites are Come together, and Loaded.
It has only 11 songs but it's a 65-minute long album which is quite long, but it's ok I think.
