Telefunker introduced me to this album... but now they hate me. Sad

Well... there is 'You Can Call Me Al' which is obviously the best song. I remember walking around Derwent Water one year and this on CD was the only music I had to listen to. On going repitition does this album no favors at all.

This album is such are harmonically rich and joyous album that melds South African music with pop so amazingly! And the lyrics are top notch too! Paul Simon deserves high praise as one of the most memorable wordsmiths in pop and rock music history and this album showcases why.

This album is ranked number 66 on my chart, Just ahead of "Fishscale" and just behind "King of the Delta Blues Singers".

Here is my kind of lazy and silly note I wrote for Graceland's entry on my chart:

"This album is pretty classic. It's one of those albums that really brings people together. It's hard not to be inspired by the story of this album, and the music, and the words as well. It's a classic. If you haven't heard it, do yourself a favor and check it out! 'Losing love is like a window to your heart. Everybody sees you're blown apart. Everybody sees the wind blow.' Wow! All hail Paul Simon!
Best Song: 'Graceland' and 'Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes' and 'Boy in the Bubble' etc..."

This is currently ranked #100 on my chart. I love Paul Simon, and while most of his best material was with Garfunkel, some of his solo stuff is pretty great too, and this is the cream of solo Simon.

A fantastic folk album with many songs almost as memorable as Bridge Over Troubled Water and Cecilia.
