'Sister Ray' is actually a nice track for the first few minutes. I would listen more if it were shorter.

One of my favourite albums ever. Fantastic! There are only great tracks, my favourite is Lady Godiva's Operation.

Even though it's probably not my cup of tea, I can't deny what people see in this album. Even though, this is a really messy album, it's an inspired mess. I have heard albums that are much worse and I don't think that this is half bad, not even average, it's just not as strong as VU&N or their self-titled.

I wrote two rants, negative, on this album a while ago, but I've changed my mind quite a bit. Today, I think it's a very interesting album. Even if it IS experimental for the sake of being experimental, it's still more enjoyable than the average album. Maybe not my #173 favourite album of all time, but it's still much worth hearing.

Amazing. Used to be my favorite of theirs, but their debut has recently catapulted into my #3 spot, so there's really no fair comparison. "Sister Ray" is probably my favorite song of theirs, though.

Shame, I enjoyed these rants and agree with them to a large extent

This is sooooo not even why this album is experimental.

Magnificent, 2nd favorite VU album (3 in my top 50 though), I feel 'The Gift' is one of the greatest songs by anybody ever. The debut track is pretty great and then of course there's the beast of a track that is 'Sister Ray', 17+ minutes of awesomeness. I usually don't grow overly fond of experimental/noise/art rock or whatever the genre is, but I'm a massive fan of this.
