I usually have a soft-spot for Canadian albums... but Clumsy was overplayed to hell on Canadian radio in the late 90s. It's traditional guitar-driven alt-rock with a somewhat cacaphonic lead singer. This style of music doesn't take to well to constant play. Plus, Raine Maida became a little too fond of himself.
That said, it is the sound of a band on the top of their game, and the songs tackle some pretty interesting themes.
Despite my better judgement, I'm going to vote OLP. Maison Rose calls for further listening (bewitching is a good adjective), but I'm voting Clumsy anyway. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.
