I remember Mac McCulloch talking about the symbolism of the 'Killing Moon' many many years ago... I guess it struck a chord!
I love love love LOVE this album! it has been in my top 20 for nearly 30 years and I can't see it leaving anytime soon!
'The Killing Moon will come too soon!'

Oh, about that, I've listened to Porcupine thanks to your comment on my chart, and I loved it, more than Crocodiles actually. Still, Ocean Rain is my favorite by them and it's an absolutely stunning achievement. Incredible music here, both catchy, fun, dark and evocative (not sure if "both" can be used if there are more than two adjectives/nouns after it, but oh well, you get it).

It used to be a favorite of mine. I still like it, but I haven't felt compelled to listen to it in a while. "Killing Moon" still dominates, though.
