It's pretty cool, and apparently of the best-selling (if not the best-selling) albums ever in France. Money For Nothing is miles above any other track here though.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

I love the shit out of this album. Literally no bad songs. "Why Worry" is one of my top 3 favorite Dire Straits songs, so relaxing and gorgeous.

I enjoy it more with every listen. So incredibly comforting. It would be perfect if it didn't have "One World." It isn't awful, but I find it boring and am always tempted to skip it.

I actually really really like this album. It's just, like others have said, comforting. It feels so nice to listen to this and chill out. The words, voice, music is all very nice but at the same time it never challenges me. It never puts me out of my comfort zone. It's pretty nice. It's definitely dated, but I think it's aged pretty well. And goddamn! Mark knopfler is an INCREDIBLY expressive guitarist. Especially in the title track... Gid damn! Goosebumps.

Also love Money For Nothing and So Far Away.

There was this really awesome fish and chips place when I was in Coolangatta that we ate at basically every dinner i was there. And everytime we went they played Money for Nothing. I donno if it was just random but thats the perfect example of an instance I would enjoy listening to this. It's not that its bad or anything. Its just I will never be in the mood for it.

tl;dr australian fish restaurants love the dire straits.

It's a great album, one of the best ever. Dire Straits was one of the first bands I was ever really aware of, my dad listened to this all the time.

Yeah it's pretty blah. I do enjoy "Money for Nothing" and "Walk of Life", though.
