But on a more serious note... albums like Nevermind and The Joshua Tree...
I feel this needs to be seriously discussed. These sorts of albums are NOT good albums. At least, they aren't PUT TOGETHER like good albums, and they keep me from enjoying them as ALBUMS.
I feel that track listing is VERY important. It is imperative that the artist crafting the album places the songs so that the album together becomes an experience in its own right, that it becomes an actual ALBUM and not just an unorganized collection of songs. But albums like Nevermind or Joshua Tree (or every other U2 album since then) are put together in an incredibly lazy fashion. All the singles have been placed RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING, as if the rest of the album was a mere afterthought. You know what I feel that says to me, the listener? It's like the artist is telling me: "alright, here are all the singles, right at the beginning for your convenience. The rest of the album just isn't worth listening to, ignore it."
Well, U2 is horrible by definition and Kurt Cobain hated pretty much everything about Nevermind, so those could be two explanations about why the track picks are so shoddy _________________ I love all music. It makes you feel like living. Silence is death.
Once Upon a Time... the only way to really listen to music was to purchase a heavy black disc, called a vinyl album. That album had two sides and could only be listened to on a record player. This meant that you had to physical turn the album over to listen to the other half of the album. If you wanted to listen to a particular track on a vinyl album you had to hang onto the stylus (the arm like thing on record player) with a very steady hand and sort of drop it where you thought the song started...
If you were lucky, the arm would return back to the start of the same side and you could listen to the same side of the album for hours, until you straightened out enough to turn the damned thing over!
Pfft, you're ALL wrong! This is where it's at as far as Coldplay is concerned. This song always kinda reminds me of Lazarus by Porcupine Tree... albeit not as good. I keep both songs on a special playlist I keep for crying after hard break-ups, which is made up mostly of sad songs that make me feel worse.

You're all wrong! When it comes to Coldplay, THIS is where it's at!
Where it's at when it comes to Coldplay is that large blank space between these words which does not feature the music of Coldplay. _________________ I love all music. It makes you feel like living. Silence is death.
