Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.8/100, a mean average of 78.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.1.

Another collection of great songs from Brand New but it isn't as consistent as their earlier work. There are still some gems in here such as 157 and Can't Get It Out that make it worth a listen. It is also a lot more mellow and chilled in places than their other work and that does make for a more relaxing and easy listen. However, they do seem to have just lost the edge they had when I first became such a huge fan of them and that makes it difficult to give this record a very high score.
It seriously feels like the people that made The Devil And God had grown up some more and are no catching up with their fans

Not as strong as their earlier albums but very enjoyable still.
Best tracks other than the top rated are, "There Could Never Be Heaven", "137", and "451"
Jesse Lacey is a bad person, but holy hell is this album dope
Easily their best since TDaGaRIM. It's got all the emotion of that record, but with a more haunting sound. This is a dark album, and certainly one of my favourite emo releases in a long time.
