My sister had this way back in 84 and I liked the singles and album at the time. I never listened to it again until I got it in 2016 and the tunes came back thick and strong. There might be emotional points tied up in this but I think that the songs stand up well like Summer Of 69, Run To You and Heaven amongst others whilst the track She's Only Happy When She's Dancin' is only disappointment I can find here

Ok so the nostalgia might be affecting my rating - this is what my parents played 10000 times while I was growing up, but the feel good rock anthems on this project truly have stood the test of time. "Heaven", "Kids Wanna Rock", "Summer of 69"... the list goes on. It is really rare that an album has so many songs that several generations can recite from memory. Definitely a very special album, although not the most "complex"

Horribly cliched lyrics topped by just-as-unoriginal riffs. Give your head a shake, people.

of course this is music for the masses, for radiostations and for music dummies. therefore it's a bit greasy to like it. but i really like it. it just makes me feel young.
imo one of the best and consistent records of poprock. maybe the best.

This is easily Bryan Adams' peak. His sense of hook and melody are flawless here. He knows what he does well, and sticks to it - catchy, accessible rock. Nothing profound here, no groundbreaking work. Just a good time. A worthwhile album.

Have you ever heard an album that is nearly a "Greatest Hits" in its own?

Well, THIS is one of those very few albums that have to be honoured that way. In fact this album has an impressive record: 6 singles made the top 15 in the US, a record only equalled with Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. How can you not have this album!

The songs speak for themselves: 'One Night Love Affair', 'Run To You', 'Somebody', 'Summer of '69', etc. This is one-in-a-lifetime classic hard rock album. Do yourself a favour, get it and have a good time. It was indeed "the best days of my life" for many, many people.

Cheers.
