This album (recorded live, like all France albums) consists of about 40 minutes of a basic rhythm section droning eighth-notes on A-flat while a third musician, Yann Gourdon, plays a distorted "hurdy gurdy" (presumably a heavily-effected stringed instrument of some kind) in an ever-increasingly wild and chaotic fashion. The whole thing is incredibly self-indulgent on Gourdon's part, and presumably that's the entire point, but I still do feel kind of bad for the drummer and bass player who literally don't get to do anything fun at all THE ENTIRE TIME. Hopefully they at least got a free drink or something out of it. (Maybe some champagne, since it's France.)
