Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.7/100, a mean average of 77.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.3.

Really spacious, quirky guitar playing with sweet ear-candy vocals and just straight up head-bumping guitar jams. Really enjoyable, give it a listen.

A shot in the arm of Psychedelia! If you like your trips full of terror and your heartbeats irregular then John Dwyer has conjured up just the right potion for you.

No insanely good song, one pretty bad one, a few average/decent songs.

It's alright

This has to be up there for one of the freakiest album covers I’ve ever seen. However, the album cover kind of fits the album itself, at least, it fits the lyrics. Thee Oh Sees seventh album so far is a really good, heavy, guitar-driven album. It’s garage rock, but a little heavier than what you typically think of with garage rock. Probably the closest thing I could compare them to is the Japandroids. Lyrically, this album is creepy, with plenty of allusions to murder and all kinds of weird stuff, though you won’t really be able to hear the lyrics too well, as Thee Oh Sees filter the vocals through reverb and various vocal effects. The sound of this album is really cool, I like it a lot, the heavy riffs, the guitar solos and the reverbed, falsetto vocals, it’s a pretty cool album.

I'd pretty much agree with what joshtraina had to say about this. Although I don't know that he needed to repeat it.
