Great influential band that is highly underrated on BEA. Their debut is incredible featuring hardcore and reggae songs quite the mix. Several years later they mixed it up again on I Against I which features more metal and funk. They never broke through commercially but you better believe the underground knew all about them.
Of course punk would flourish in D.C. Bad Brains was a big part of the reason why. These guys played faster than everyone, until they slowed it down for one of their reggae tracks that is. Bad Brains would also go on to kick start the NYC hardcore scene after their unofficial ban in several D.C. clubs convinced them to set off for more depraved pastures.
