Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. No magic without Zep. Despite his voice, it was really the instrumentalists that made that group great.
It may not be Zeppelin, but Robert Plant has the greatest rock voice I've ever heard. And I've heard him in other genres, and he ain't too shabby.

Even at his worst moments, he's still the freakin' Led Zeppelin frontman! My personal favorite? PRINCIPLE OF MOMENTS is his strongest post-Zeppelin performance. That album is worth it just to hear "Big Log." PICTURES AT ELEVEN and NOW AND ZEN don't have any stinkers on them, either.
