Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 5% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.9/100, a mean average of 88.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.8.

Wow! That's a great chart! Neil Young is one of my favorite artists and you got my top 3 in that order. My favorite on After the Gold Rush is When You Dance I Can Really Love. Radio Free Europe was a great selection off of Murmur too. I'm not a big Radiohead guy, if you like that sound though I'd recommend Showbiz by Muse it sounds a lot like Radiohead I just liked it better.
I also like that idea of top 3 tracks I may be using that on mine soon.

If the albums herein brought you the greatest joy, then you have had plenty to be joyful about. Nice to see one Aussie album in the chart. Also got a kick out of seeing Okkervil River, Elliott Smith, The Waterboys. I can see that your love for Neil doesn't extend as much for David, Stephen or Graham.

nice. I can tell you enjoy that folky, soft rock type stuff. Not sure if you've checked them out already but this chart could sure use some Joni Mitchell, Microphones (Glow Pt. 2), Paul Simon, The Smiths, The Band, etc.

A one-two punch of After the Gold Rush and Sufjan's Illinois is a VERY good way to start off a best albums ever list. Good work!
