Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 9% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.2/100, a mean average of 87.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.4.

A great collection of artists and albums not anywhere like my own Top 100 but I appreciate your choices
Buenas selecciones y muy variado tu chart, pero hace falta añadir comentarios, personalmente le doy mucha importancia a eso, de cualquier modo, buen trabajo.
I love it that your chart takes me a journey across the globe and into unknown territory. It is the kind of chart that I could spend time with in search of an artist/album to uplift my soul.
A cool and eclectic mix. Good to see some electronica and classical/baroque in there. Must check out some of those German artists.
Some true classics and some otherwise cool picks. Great experimental/forward-thinking rock and pop choices. Some great jazz picks. I personally dislike inclusions of compilations but I love this chart and think it's cool nonetheless.
John Cale!!! and VU!!! Steve Reich!!!
Nice to read about this chart! I will steal you some suggestions :-)
Very cool chart. Definitely some stuff on here that I need to check out.
Decent. You like things that have a peculiar sound, that's good.
Ummagumma is in there, so kudos for that!
A great variety of albums and am keen to listen to more of the German bands as when I was in Germany for over a week 2 years ago I liked what I heard on the radio of the local bands. Your list can help. Thanks for your comment on my chart for Simple Minds but don't see a Simple Minds album in your top 100 lol? Cheers! or Prost!
