No clever chart name, I'm afraid, this is exactly what it says on the tin; my favourite shoegaze albums. One album per artist- mainly to avoid too much My Bloody Valentine- but also to give as wide a range of artists as possible. Feel free to give any recommendations, if you have any.

Yeah, the chart is probably not be the definitive chart for the precise definition of shoegaze. It's just the albums that I reckon fit a vague definition of shoegaze in the order that I like them. A few of the bands you two mentioned are just off the bottom of this chart- but I wanted to keep the chart fairly short and only add the albums I really like. And I deliberately kept Belong off my chart, but now I'm not sure why I did so; I'll probably add it on at a later date.

Plenty here I love, although a couple of albums you've got there are about as shoegaze as my gran. Try Serena-Maneesh S/T, Seefeel's Quique and considering how open your definition of shoegaze is definitely Spiritualized's Lazer Guided Melodies and Belong by The Pains of Being Pure At Heart... Have fun!
