Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 71.9/100, a mean average of 67.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 20.5.

London Calling is the only album here that we have in common on our overall charts, but it's a solid pick to place among the newer pop-punk selections you've included here. American Idiot is another one that would have made my overall chart a decade ago, but feels now like an album that was very much of its cultural and political moment than a timeless classic. Anyway, I enjoyed checking out this chart, and I admire your efforts to keep it continually updated.

I'm glad that you don't let the ratings get to you. This chart is overrun by people who think the only good music existed before 1995 and literally anything else after 1995 that isn't Radiohead is awful. Your chart is awesome. Maybe a little biased toward rock but we all have our preferences.

Newer than my tastes generally run. But a cool fun chart.

Not as bad as the ratings suggest. Man you have your style and that's totally fine. Why would a repetitive indie chart be 83/100, but this 68/100?

You should listen to some more 60s and 70s albums, but other than that this album rocks

American Idiot at #1? Same! Killer record.

The rest does seem pretty repetitive, but that's not always bad. Although I would suggest you listen to some other stuff.

Try out:
Deja Entendu - Brand New
Peripheral Vision - Turnover
An Awesome Wave - Alt-J

Very modern, but I kinda like that there are so many French artists :)
