Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 85.2/100, a mean average of 85.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.2.

Great to see your love of home grown (Belgian) music ~ which gives me something to explore over coming days. Also good to see 2 of my home grown (Australian) albums in your mix. All in all, a unique chart that clearly reveals your unique personality ~

Great to see so many Belgian albums, and Doolittle as number one is spot on.

Surrender is the shit. Not a fan of a lot of the rest of the artists, but it’s a nice collection.

dEUS is something special.

I'm really excited to dive into these Belgian releases, and I'm impressed by how well you've presented them alongside recognisable and underrated greats. As a fellow lover of the 90s, I appreciate the bias :P

will be back for a re-rate after giving those Belgian albums a listen!
