I'm currently in my second phase of buying vinyl, having acquired a fair bit at the start of the 21st Century and only starting again at the start of 2015 when my wife bought me a shiny new turntable. I wonder if she realised what would happen as a result...
Amazingly some of the LPs I've acquired during my last vinyl buying phase and over the last couple of years (either from second hand record shops on the cheap or car boot sales) are now worth a packet. Here's a list of the records I have in my collection which according to Discogs are worth the most. Pour scorn over my taste if you must, or make me an offer (although can't see me selling any of these in a hurry). Just get out your anti-static record cleaner, record brush and micro-fibre cloth and go bananas! All original presses here unless stated/good reason or story behind them - take you coloured 180g represses taken from a CD source and put them on your Crosley Cruiser record player like I imagine some here do. Record Shop (Russell's, Bordon). Another joy of buying second hand vinyl is discovering tucked away record shops in the middle of nowhere, especially those run by nice people. Russell's Records in the military town of Bordon, Hants. is one such example - not always the best range, but always a friendly smile whenever you go in and prices that can't be sneezed at. Such as the £5 I paid for this 2LP compy with embossed sleeve which I then saw hanging up in another shop 2 weeks later for 10 times that.

Record Shop (Supertone, Brixton). Beautiful Studio One LP, laminated sleeve and everything. Oddly enough although I'm pretty well-versed in London's reggae emporiums both past and present I hadn't visited Brixton to have a snoop-round until recently (and then again on the BEA meet-up when Loveless went to check into his hostel, the others had a brew and I hiked it up Acre Lane to pick up some more roots).

EBay. Given that the repress is spread over 2 records and I'm a lazy arse gettting the original Food press of this was high up on my list until I luckily spied it listed as 'Blur record' on FleaBay and ended up snapping it up for a song.

Discogs. Originally tried to track this down as part of the '100' challenge until some Brazilian album took its place. Anyway, popped onto Discogs back in 2015 in great condition for a very reasonable price (in fact at least 1/6th of what it normally goes for) so couldn't resist. Then found it again in Sound Machine, Reading for £15, so flipped it...

Discogs (REPRESS). Been waiting an age for this to pop up on-line at a decent price - only time I've seen it for sale anywhere was at record fair in Reading and they wanted £45 for it. Passed it by and later found via the 'cogs for much less. Proto-acid house from India - the original is currently listed on Discogs for £3k+

Record Fair. Got this - with the bonus 7" - from a record fair in Guildford after seeing it in a Reading record shop. I passed it by on that occasion then went back to buy it a couple of days later only for it to have gone. Lesson here being buy it when you see it (unless you travel a lot like yours truly)

Record Shop (Liquorice, White Waltham). Found amongst a dream collection of late 80s-early 90s indie-pop and shoegaze in my favourite Berkshire bargain record emporium. Original press with free 12", picked up for a steal (and for not much more than the repress goes for, which I'd actually had in my hand once to buy but changed my mind. Must be ESP).

Record Fair. Jamaican press, first time I've ever seen it (green cover, not the one pictured here), went back and looked at it about 3 times before I convinced myself I wanted it. Glad I did.

EBay. I wouldn't have the Field Mice in my life if it weren't for BEA, and Mancsoulsister/Lady Godiva/Abby in particular. The jewel in the crown is the Sensitive 7", which I've been trying to track down for an age, but this acquisition of their only full-length LP on Sarah for a decent price was a happy find.

Very cool find with the Skatalites. Quite a few other gems I'd love to have. Fantastic concept. Might just do my own.

Great chart idea. I'd love to own any of these. Oddly enough I don't. That's also my least favorite Spiritualized record. Love that you have Belly's Star. That album seems to be one loved by folks who were around when it came out, but the kids don't know how good it is.
