Ram is part of me. I love this album. I memorized every musical note, every detail of the record. The context in which it was recorded in secret in New York with hired musicians contributed to a differentiated aura present in the album. Anyway, I find Ram extremely creative and to this day I listen almost daily [First added to this chart: 03/20/2015]

A crazy and inspired Lennon into the Primal Scream therapy. A visceral and direct album that touches your soul. Lennon vocals are the best [First added to this chart: 03/20/2015]

A masterpiece. The way the album was recorded is as fascinating as the album itself. This is the edge of the Stones with Mick Taylor and Keith Richards. Absolutely amazing and bluesy [First added to this chart: 05/06/2015]

Hard to choose a Bowie album for the list. It could be anyone from the Berlin trilogy, Aladdin Sane or even Let's Dance. But I get Station to Station. Still with a touch of Funk / Soul, here he begins to flirt with the elements of krautrock and more experimental music, which for me makes the album special. It is at this stage that the character appears The Thin White Duke, who like Ziggy Stardust, was recorded in the annals of rock history as one of the most important characters in world music. In the album, only classic, from the title track (an imposing epic almost ten minutes long), through "TVC15", "Stay", "Golden Years", "Word on a Wing" and "Wild is the Wind ". One of Bowie's best career records [First added to this chart: 05/30/2015]

Neil Young is for me King of Rock and Folk! Maximum respect for this unique artist in history. I remember his epic GIG in Rock in Rio III in 2001, a true catharsis in the form of Rock n'Roll. Neil is the true definition of an authentic artist. [First added to this chart: 04/10/2015]

Os Mutantes is the best Brazilian band of all time and undoubtedly one of the biggest in the world in the 60s. I believe that in terms of psychedelia they were the best in their time. Arnaldo Baptista is simply a genius. Hard to choose an album to be on the list, it could honestly be any of them. I pick the most progressive one. Os Mutantes are essential for anyone who likes music! [First added to this chart: 05/06/2015]

Another album I always listen to. Yes took progressive rock to its limit and produced simply the best album of its kind. The band, led by geniuses Jon Anderson and Steve Howe, at the apex of their creativity, which had begun in 1971 and would last for four more years. The fact that he is megalomaniac and pretentious, which causes many to hate him, is the one that most strikes me. It may even be that it put an end to the genre, but if so, it was brilliant and perfect. [First added to this chart: 07/23/2015]

Difficult to speak about Frank Zappa genius in few lines. Together With Miles Davis became my favorite artist. After I met him I was crazy and addicted to his discography, so much so that one of my hobbies is to collect vinyl records of Frank Zappa. In addition to the creativity and skill in the guitar, I highlight his unique irreverence in the history of musicians, really a unique artist. To represent Zappa well in the list I chose one of the records that I like the most [First added to this chart: 05/26/2015]

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 13% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.6/100, a mean average of 87.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.8/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.3.

I'd agree with moondance but I'm assuming that that's because your chart is, as you say, still under construction. Even as it is, really interesting and diverse chart. looking forward to coming back once it's finish (although, let's face it, no chart is ever completely finished!!!!!!)

The first 40 albums, along with the comments are fantastic. So unique, so interesting ~ 95/100 territory. But from about 44 onwards, the charts seems to loose coherence, the album choices seem odd (compared to what came before) and feels like it has been chucked together. Sorry if that's not the case, but that is how it feels to me.

Excelente chart!
