A love supreme may seem the most spiritual john coltrane's album, but for me this is where he reaches his peak. My conception of this masterwork was completely altered after reading Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami: now, when i hear the title track, i cannot help but feel like if it was a sort of Romantic battle of the man against the forces of Nature, striving to understand the meaning of our existence. [First added to this chart: 08/21/2015]

The picks that aren’t completely obscure are VERY basic.
However, I convinced myself to check out Nusrat - it’s not everyday I encounter an album from Pakistan. They certainly are good vibes. And wow! Massive Attack remixed one of his songs before they made Blue Lines.
