Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.9/100, a mean average of 91.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.2.

11/10 chart. Anyone who has Sparks at number 1 has my respect. There are even a handful of great 2010s records which I haven't heard. Hey Colossus was a lot of fun too, good to see it. Plenty of recs, plenty of albums I love, a lot of personality. Interesting choice for Voivod, don't think I've heard Angel Rat yet.

A tremendous chart full of diversity of eras, genres, and styles. I added so many items here to my wishlist based on your evaluations! I really enjoyed the effort you gave to describe each album and include it in your chart. Top marks!

Love the list. But saying The Spits are better than the Ramones is a bit like showing a modern urinal at some art exhibition and saying that you urinal is "better" than Duchamp's. You can argue yours is a more accomplished urinal but Duchamp came up with his when it mattered. Not that I think the Ramones can't stand on their own musical merits leaving historical context aside, but those merits are linked to a spirit and attitude that's unique to their time, and to a musical landscape they were playing in and, more importantly, against. All of this should be audible in their music. It's not just chords we're dealing with.

Very original, very cool chart! That Wolf City album is great. There's a bunch I need to check out so I'll have to add this chart to my favorites.

This is about the most original chart and at the same time a chart which made my wishlist grow the most in a Long time.
The only thing I couldn't understand is why you put Intolerance over any of the Hüsker Dü records.
