Been updating this chart a lot more frequently recently and I think it reflects the music I like and listen to better than ever. My hope is that everyone who finds this chart will come away with at least one new album to enjoy.

I was in denial about this album for the longest time. I love blues music, and so I called II my favorite of theirs. But I love Led Zeppelin too, and this is the album where Led Zeppelin stopped playing blues (or folk) music or and started playing Led Zeppelin music. Every song here is iconic and indispensable from their discography. [First added to this chart: 04/12/2016]

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Really great mix of genres and time periods, plus I love the notes you've written so far. That Russian album is the only one not on my radar, will have to give it a listen!
