A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. I love your passion to the music that moves you in ways that only you can understand ~ even though we travel very different roads. I was happy to see we have 4 albums in common - especially Tapestry!

Clearly a chart that divides opinion. I like it. Devised by someone with a defined taste in music and you have to admire that.

Many people have their noses too far up their own you-know-where to enjoy pop like you do. That includes me, though I can hopefully say I'm trying. And you're probably a lot happier than the rest of us nerds. I don't think I've ever been happier than listening and dancing to Swift's "Shake It Off" with someone else that enjoys it. You're doing it right my friend.
