Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Seab

These are my personal beliefs as to which albums are my favorite.

Always up to take suggestions, so if you feel that you can get me into a great album, then feel free to comment what I should listen to.

I still have a lot to listen to.

I don't update this chart too often anymore, so it's probably outdated.

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.8/100, a mean average of 90.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.4.

No big shockers here, but for a chart focused on popular underground-*ish* stuff from 00-90s i really agree with your placement of most of it

Loving the chart! Fairly similar tastes to my own, but not so much it's boring. Great job.

Nice chart - I left some recommendations when I reviewed it in January, wondering if you've got round to any them?

Can't argue with the picks, so many great albums it's obvious why this chart is so highly rated! You said in your description you're always up for suggestions so here's some pre-90s picks that maybe your chart is lacking...

Dinosaur Jr - You're Living All Over Me
Galaxie 500 - On Fire
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden
Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians

Really nice chart, lots in common. Love all the Radiohead submissions! Obviously the chart size is limiting but if I had to recommend some artists that weren't listed based on our common interests Id say: Kid Cudi (based on your interest in Kanye), The Doors, Who, Black Sabbath, Metallica, ELO, Supertramp, Stones, Yes, RHCP, Arctic Monkeys, & Alice in Chains. You've probably heard of most these bands so there's not much surprise here, but Id have at least one album from each of these bands in my top 100.
